Robert C. Vogel, DDS takes helm as 39th AO President

“I have the time in my life to be president, and I am thrilled to be here,” says AO Fellow and Diplomate Robert C. Vogel, DDS, who became the Academy of Osseointegration’s newest president on March 29, 2025 in Seattle, WA.
About his history with AO, he said, “I became a member very early on and saw AO as an organization that filled the void in my implant education and where I could have an impact on our profession, even as a young clinician.”
Dr. Vogel continued, “After a year or two, I realized we, the members, are the Academy of Osseointegration. If there is something members want to do, we are receptive to that. We listen to every comment and we will answer them.”
“Something I would really like to see a change is focus on the comprehensive care – the surgeon, the restorative, the prosthetic, the perio – everybody working together to achieve symbiosis,” Dr. Vogel revealed as he looks ahead to his year as president.
