2027 Student Travel Grant

The Osseointegration Foundation (OF), the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Osseointegration, is proud to continue the OF Student Travel Grant Program. Fifty-five (55) $1,000 Student Travel Grants will be awarded to the recipients of the top scoring Oral Research and ePoster abstracts submitted for the 2027 AO Annual Meeting by the OF. The grant is to be allocated toward travel expenses related to attending the AO Annual Meeting, March 10-13, 2027 in San Diego, CA.

This award is open to both AO student members and student non-members who submit an abstract for the 2027 meeting and are currently enrolled in a full-time dental school program at an academic institution at the time of the meeting.

Members of the AO Research Submissions and ePoster Committees will review and score the submitted abstracts to determine the best student presentations based on the quality of the research and relevance to the field of osseointegration. Awards will go to the top scoring Oral Clinical and Scientific Abstract presenters followed by the top scoring ePoster presenters. Clinical Innovations presenters are ineligible for this grant.

Please note:

• Awardees are expected to pay the appropriate registration fees and travel costs prior to the meeting.
• All recipients must be present at the meeting to receive their grant.
• U.S. residents will receive a check with their Registration materials in Washington, DC.
• Non-U.S. residents will be sent a wire transfer following their arrival at the meeting. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the wire transfer to process.
• Only the designated submitter/presenter is eligible for the award and only one award will be given per presenter. This award is non-transferable.
• Those receiving a Student Travel Grant may still be considered for the Best Abstract and ePoster Awards.
• Clinical Innovations presenters are not eligible for Student Travel Grants.
