Emerging Leaders Session
The Emerging Leaders Case Presentation Competition is an opportunity for early career clinicians to present at AO’s 2027 Annual Meeting, March 10-13 in San Diego, CA.
Six clinical cases will be selected from all submissions providing an opportunity for clinicians with less than 10 years in practice to present their cases in the Emerging Leaders session on Thursday afternoon. Judges will identify the “Best in Case” presentation and recognize the recipient during Saturday’s Award Ceremony.
Winners will receive a plaque and complimentary meeting registration to the 2028 AO Annual Meeting. Winners will also be considered for future AO webinar and podium speaking initiatives with AO meetings and events.
Program Criteria
Six (6) cases will be presented with each applicant permitted 9 minutes for their presentation. Submissions must meet the following criteria for consideration:
- Be an AO member and in practice for less than 10 years;
- Provide a complete case that is surgical, restorative or a combination of both;
- Submit a 1-minute video of yourself describing the case to the committee;
- Complete the online application – including the $125 application fee – no later than Friday, February 12, 2027;
- If selected, the presenter must register and pay the appropriate fees for the 2027 Annual Meeting and present their clinical case in person on Thursday, March 11th.
