AO expands global outreach; South Africa next on calendar
The Academy of Osseointegration’s (AO) global reach and partnership initiatives are continuing to expand at a steady pace during 2018.
The latest initiative will be an AO South Africa Outreach Meeting, to be held in conjunction with the South African Association of Osseointegration’s (SAAO) 3rd International Congress May 31 – June 2, 2018 in Johannesburg. On June 1, AO will host a half-day symposium entitled, “Challenges in Implant Dentistry,” which will focus on the current challenges in today’s implantology practice, featuring top international speakers.
The 2018 schedule to date has also included meetings of new Charter Chapters in France and Columbia.
“Advances in Implant Dentistry” was the program for the first meeting of the France Charter Chapter on January 26 at the Yacht Club de France in Paris, featuring an impressive schedule of more than a dozen international figures in implant dentistry. Coordinated by AO Ambassador Dr. Philippe Khayat, this inaugural meeting attracted more than 50 attendees.
“AO Thinks Global, Colombia Acts Local” was the topic of the February 2, 2018 meeting of the new Charter Chapter in Columbia. This scientific program in Bogota featured clinical reports from four implant teams. More than 100 delegates attended, thanks to the strong leadership and efforts of Dr. Jorge Arango.
